Code of Conduct

At The Hold, we’re building more than walls — we’re building a community. Everyone should feel safe, welcome, and respected here.

Respect People

  • Be decent. Kindness and respect are non-negotiable, no matter someone’s age, ability, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or background.

  • Encourage, don’t criticise. Celebrate effort, not just outcomes. Judgement and put-downs have no place here.

  • Look out for each other. If someone takes a fall, check in. If you see something unsafe or concerning, let staff know.

Respect the Space

  • Keep it clean. Put rubbish in bins, return brushes and gear, and avoid leaving chalk explosions behind.

  • Clear the mats. Don’t sit, leave bags, or stand under climbers — landing zones must stay safe.

  • No gymnastics or wrestling. Our mats are for safe landings, not flips or play fighting.

  • Share the walls. Be aware of others waiting and give everyone space to climb.

Zero Tolerance

Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behaviour will result in immediate removal. Intolerance is not tolerated — period.
